Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

Immersive Media and User Experience publishes all articles under an Open Access model, allowing readers worldwide to access, read, and use published content without financial or technical barriers. To support this model, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of GBP 350 is required only after a manuscript has been formally accepted. No fees are charged at the time of submission or during the peer review process.

The APC is used to meet the ongoing costs associated with producing and disseminating high-quality scholarly content. These include the administration of editorial workflows, management of peer review, language editing and formatting, digital publication and hosting, permanent archiving, DOI assignment, maintenance of the journal’s publishing infrastructure, remuneration of editorial and administrative personnel, and routine office and operational expenses.

Authors may remit the APC via Debit/Credit Card or Bank Transfer. For payments made by bank transfer, the total amount payable is GBP 350, which covers standard bank processing fees.

This funding model ensures the journal’s operational stability, supports ethical and rigorous publishing practices, and enhances the global reach and long-term availability of published research.
